10 tips for effective e-fundraising

1) Keep it simple

2) Employ short, bold, passionate copy, no more than three or four lines per paragraph

3) Streamline the message, focus on just one thing

4) Be direct and to the point

5) Share an obvious reason to give right up front

6) Include multiple clearly marked links in a variety of locations, including the header

7) Give it the look and feel of a personal email, not a marketing piece

8) Assure ample white space to make it feel easy and quick for the reader to absorb

9) Use one signer only, and a P.S. just like direct mail

10) Employ an intriguing subject line that will encourage more opens (Subject lines that allude to fundraising usually receive fewer opens)
