Start emailing your credit card donors immediately to remind them that there is an easier way to manage their donations – through their bank account.
Even if they’re not affected by the current breach, they will be affected by something else in the future, including the regular replacement of expired cards.
Many of your donors will make the transition, but you must continue to message it regularly to build confidence in the idea and spur action.
And don’t forget to ask for an upgrade at the same time. Planning ahead for 2019 is the perfect reason to make a strong case for additional support.
