Let’s face it. There’s rarely, if ever, enough money in the budget to do all that you wish you could.
That’s why budget time is also a great time to brainstorm – then commit – to a handful of things you can do to improve your program without spending money.
Maybe it’s changing a process or finding new ways to connect with your donors through your volunteers. Possibly its streamlining an online giving form or redesigning a direct mail piece. Perhaps it’s freshening up your copy or questioning all of your “we’ve always done it this way” sacred cows.
No matter how good you are, there’s always something you can do to make it even better. And so often better has nothing to do with throwing money at it, but rather with finding a way to simply do it better.
