Annalise Briggs began her career in broadcast production and business affairs at ad agency Wieden+Kennedy where she spearheaded campaigns for Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Electronic Arts, and Nike. Most recently, Annalise led, managed and significantly expanded multiple direct response programs including sustained giving, direct mail, telemarketing and global emergency response for international relief and development agency Mercy Corps.
She has been a selected participant in the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program with Portland State University’s graduate school of business, where she traveled to Thailand and Tunisia to focus on nonprofit strategy, business development and leadership, and she currently serves as board president of the Alano Club of Portland, one of the largest recovery support centers in the country.
Here she is in her own words – an excerpt from her Mercy Corps blog:
“When I tell people I’m in fundraising, they usually respond with ‘ugh, I would hate to ask people for money.’ The funny thing is that I love it. People want to help. I believe it’s in our nature, but often we don’t know how, because it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the millions who desperately need help. Part of my job is to highlight the individuals – to bring donors a personal connection through intimate stories and images. I love connecting people who want to help with people who need help.”
We’re thrilled to add this spirit of dedication and service to the LKA team.
